Abstract:
In response to the demand for high-quality imaging of complex oil and gas reservoirs, it is crucial to effectively mitigate the influence of overlying strata and surrounding rocks on target-area imaging. Based on the Marchenko focusing theory, this paper investigates the method of using the Marchenko equations to retrieve the Green's function. The latter is then integrated with the reference Green's function through data fusion to generate a more informative Green's function for Marchenko imaging. Application results using multidimensional deconvolution imaging conditions demonstrate that this method effectively suppresses multiples and improves deep-target imaging quality. The obtained virtual gathers exhibit higher accuracy, with the resolution surpassing that of conventional reverse-time migration. The proposed method effectively enables high-precision imaging of complex hydrocarbon reservoirs.
