Abstract:
Based on long-term exploration practices in Songnan gas field, this paper systematically reviews the geological characteristics and seismic responses of different types of volcanic reservoirs. Seismic attributes show advantages in interpreting the geometry of volcanic reservoirs. Through the analysis and summary of volcanic reservoir characterization using seismic attributes, this study establishes a multi-attribute fusion-based framework for volcanic gas reservoir identification. The study shows that different types of volcanic gas reservoirs differ markedly in their geologic features and require distinct seismic attributes to delineate their internal conduits, boundaries, structures, and lithofacies. Among these, instantaneous attributes, texture attributes, structure attributes, and time-frequency decomposition attributes are the most effective. Multi-attribute interpretation enhances volcanic gas reservoir identification and internal architecture delineation, which is of great practical significance for efficient exploration and development.
